Peter Manning
Peter Manning – Senior Consultant
Peter has fifty years of experience in market analysis and developing corporate strategy in the petrochemical and energy sectors. He has in-depth knowledge of the petrochemical business (primarily ethylene, propylene, butadiene and their derivatives) and natural gas liquids markets - ethane, propane and butane.
He has been a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars. He worked initially for Esso Chemical at Fawley, became Editor of European Chemical News (now ICIS Chemical Business) and began his consulting experience with Trichem Consultants, London in 1976.
He subsequently opened a European office for CMAI (now part of IHS) before founding Peter Manning Associates (PMA). He has also worked for Poten & Partners, first as a consultant and more recently as a contractor through PMA.
Peter brings extensive understanding of the interface between petrochemicals and their feedstocks, particularly NGLs - an understanding that has become increasingly relevant in assessing today’s gas liquids markets.
He obtained a BSc (Eng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Nottingham University.
He is based in London.
